MCB Journal Club
All Journal Club meetings are held on Fridays from 12:00 - 1:00 PM in Room 1019B Ag & Life Sciences Building (unless otherwise noted).
When choosing an article for JC, be sure to visit the ISI Web of Knowledge webpage. Use the Journal Citation Reports link to examine the Impact Factor of individual journals and the Web of Science - Cited Ref Search link to explore the citations to a particular person's work. The Web of Science - Cited Ref Search can also help you evaluate the scientific impact of a particular article. For example, within 5-10 years after publication, any paper that has been cited more than 100 times has made a significant impact, papers cited more than 250 times were really good, while papers cited more than 500 times have made an exceptional impact.
